Policies

Eco Custom Cleaning Will provide high quality “green” disinfectant cleaning products and supplies. We prefer, however, to use our clients’ vacuum for hygienic reasons.(not applicable for commercial clients) In many cases, this may not be available so we do provide a vacuum at no additional charge. All cloths used are fresh and clean. If you would like us to use a particular cleaning product, I’d be happy to take a look in advance of cleaning day to determine if it’s ecologically safe with low toxicity. 

 

Green Clean Service: We are a “green” cleaning service and do not use products that are primarily bleach based or toxic. Bathrooms..If there is excessive mold or stains in tile grout, we suggest having the grout professionally re-grouted and sealed. Ask for details!

 

Cleaning Tasks: Cleaning service provided is based on details from the walk through or phone consultaion. Please note that we provide you with a price bid (or time estimate) before we start to clean. If the amount of time needed to clean your home differs significantly from the estimate, then an adjustment of the price will be necessary. Also, if the conditions in your home changes (for example additional pets or people living in your home, added furniture, level of clean that differs from original walk-through), a price or service revision will be necessary. Or frequency of cleaning changes. You would be notified in advance or day of cleaning.

 

Cleaning Efficiency: In order to keep the cost as low as possible, it's important  to have uninterrupted access to the areas of your home that we will be cleaning. We ask that you pick up toys, clothing or other items from the surfaces to be cleaned before arrival so the time spent in your home can be as efficient as possible. Cleaning Supplies:  Eco Custom Cleaning provides all “Eco Friendly” cleaning solutions. We prefer, however, to use our clients vacuums for hygienic reasons and to avoid cross contamination. All the cloths are fresh and clean when we start to work in your home. We are not responsible for vacuum cleaner wear and tear from use.

 

Conduct:  I will care for your home, personal space and business with the utmost respect. I’m also a non smoker; in addition I will not come into your space with perfume or heavy fragrance. If you have pets...wonderful! They will also be treated with respect, love and kindness!

 

Work Quality/Guarantee:

Please notify me within 24 hours of your cleaning if something was missed that was included on the checklist.  Work preformed is based on the type of cleaning we are doing at the home along with the checklist from walk-through notes.  

IMPORTANT/Exclusions for general cleaning unless agreed upon for yearly cleaning type/organizing/housekeeping/pre-cleaning:  Note: Bathroom s and kitchen surfaces that may have wear and tear or excessive build-up of dirt/stains/mold/mildew will not be restored to original condition and may require several cleanings. Or require a restorative treatment. Some hard water buildup may come off with regular cleaning. Cluttered areas would prevent dusting/cleaning surfaces.

Payment:  Payment is due on the day of services. Sorry no exceptions. Check, PayPal, Zelle or Cash Accepted!

PayPal (add 3%) or Zelle Pay accepted. Ask for details.

 

House or Business Entry:

Please provide key or entry code. Or you can leave key under mat.  Eco Custom Cleaning is not responsible for unlocked homes or businesses when not cleaning.

 

Confirmation/Scheduling:

Cleaning appointments are confirmed the day prior to cleaning; via text, e-mail or a phone call. Appointments are scheduled either am or pm; with a one hour window for arrival.

 

Schedule Changes:  If you must reschedule or skip your regular cleaning day, we appreciate at least 48 hour notice. If we are unable to enter the home upon arrival it may be necessary to assess a lockout fee of $45 to cover loss business and expense.

 

Cancellation of Appointments: You may reschedule, add, skip or cancel any of your cleanings. If, for any reason, you need to change your scheduled appointment, please give us a full 48 hours notice. Once we take a reservation, we hold that time slot open for you and turn away other potential clients in order to ensure your appointment.

 

 

Service Rates/Rate Changes/House Prep

Service rates are based on type of cleaning job we are doing at your home along with frequency.  Services can range from general maintenance cleaning, yearly deep cleaning, special projects, organizing and so forth. The cost of these services will vary. Adding or eliminating a service can affect the amount that you were quoted. To keep cost as low as possible, it’s important to have uninterrupted access to the areas of your home that will be cleaned. If subject to distractions that affect the ability to perform work in a timely manner, pricing could be subject to change. For general cleaning, we ask that you pick up toys, items off floor, clothing, dishes in sink, or other items that would hinder cleaning before arrival so the time spent in your home can be as efficient as possible.

Rate Changes: We reserve the right to re-evaluate the rates at any time to allow for business-related costs such as gas and travel time increases; or if the condition of the home has changed. You will be notified of any rate changes 14 days in advance. Checklist items; you can change your checklist at any time; this may reduce or increase the cost of cleaning depending on the cleaning service requested. General Cleaning Frequency discount: Offered for regular scheduled weekly or bi-weekly cleaning.  Monthly or one time service or customized cleaning is priced based on hourly packages. If the frequency of service changes pricing will be re-evaluated at that time; you can change frequency at any time.

 

Exclusions/Liability/Special Projects/Pre-Cleaning

Sometimes breakage occurs when there are "booby traps". Those are accidents waiting to happen. We are often handling things that aren't normally touched (pictures not hung securely (e.g. with thumb tacks), top heavy items with unstable bases, wobbly, tippy objects) or fragile glass on shelves. We cannot take responsibility for "booby traps". Please remove unstable breakables to a place we do not clean.

 

Items we do not clean. (Unless specified for organizing, pre-cleaning or special cleaning project)  Items not secured down, inside curio/china cabinets, wet bars, wine glass displays, inside open dish or pot /pan carts/collectables/figurines. Tippy items, overly cluttered counters tops/ledges, etc, moving furniture. Use of toxic oven cleaners or other toxic products (unless specified, minimal use, special projects)

Heavily cluttered areas could require organizing or de-cluttering prior to cleaning either as an add-on service to can be done by the client.

 

Note: please do not place valuable jewelry on a counter top on cleaning day.

 

Housekeeping: Is NOT included in general cleaning or yearly cleaning, unless specified. At this time Eco Custom Cleaning does not offer housekeeping services.  Services considered housekeeping would be washing dishes, changing sheets, making the bed, errands, taking out the trash and laundry.  Exceptions are made in some cases.

 

Health and Safety: Due to health and safety reasons, we are unable to clean up mold, human, pest (flea and rodent infestations, head lice, etc.) or pet waste and bodily fluids. We can recommend a company that is equipped to handle these situations. If we come into a home that requires this type of cleaning we will skip the affected rooms and discount the client accordingly. We do ask to be informed beforehand if this may be an issue. We do not climb higher than a 2-step ladder. We do use extension poles for higher items that need dusting and cob webbing. We are not able to provide service for "shoes off" households. Or use of toxic products. To ensure the best quality of service, best rates, and safety we use our own products and equipment.

 

Organizing/De-cluttering/Pre-Cleaning: I provide full service organizing, de-cluttering and pre-cleaning options. Many times a home will need one of the above prior to any type of cleaning. Heavily cluttered areas could require organizing or de-cluttering prior to cleaning either as an add-on service or can be done by the client.

 

Move In-Move Out/Construction Clean-Up: Work based on client needs; to be determined at time of walk-thru.
